Are you The Hunter, The Connoisseur, The Inventor? Perhaps all three KCPT cast members live under your roof. We’ve gathered three special opportunities to engage the sights, senses, and cerebral cortexes in and around Kansas City this Fall.
Get lost in the night sky with KCPT and the Astronomical Society of Kansas City during Seeing Stars 2.0. We’ll head to Powell Observatory in Louisburg, KS, from 6:30pm to 10pm on Friday, October 9, and whether you’re an amateur star gazer or an expert astronomer, this will be the perfect night under the stars.
Spend time getting to know your hops this Fall during Brew Debut, a ticketed event featuring local beer and fresh food from Martin City Brewery Company. From 5pm to 7pm on Saturday, October 10, join Feast Magazine’s Catherine Neville, with her knowledge of the Midwest culinary scene, Martin City Brewery owner and brewer Matt Moore, and KCPT as we tap the kegs to taste the limited edition Belgium wheat, 19, created in collaboration for this event. Then wash down beer-making demonstrations with some of the brewery’s most popular bites.
Get a private, after-hours tour of the work of one of history’s greatest thinkers: KCPT members will have an exclusive opportunity to explore Leonardo da Vinci’s work and art as it comes to life in Da Vinci The Exhibition at Union Station. After doors have closed to the public on Thursday, November 5, discover the artist, inventor, and dreamer with light appetizers and drinks and the special presentation, “Why We Still Care About Leonardo”.
