Bruce Boomer, Environmental Engineer from Black & Veatch, visited with students on January 10 at the North West Middle School in the Kansas City Kansas School District. This is part of a energy project with both the Kansas City Public Schools and the Kansas City Kansas School District. Black & Veatch is helping students understand they can change their carbon foot print and save energy.
Fulece Hughes, science teacher, with the support of KCPT and Black & Veatch was awarded The Chevrolet Green Educator Award. She is an outstanding science teacher who understands the importance of saving energy for future children.
