P. Allen Smith’s show features ways to live and eat green with growing tips, seasonal recipes and decorating ideas designed to help viewers incorporate the garden-to-table concept into their lifestyle. Allen again offers exciting ways to blur the line between the gardening and dining experience. The featured recipes, whether prepared by Allen or a guest chef, contain fresh-from-the-garden produce, with some dishes honoring Allen’s Southern heritage, including his favorite family recipe – Aunt Antha’s Corn Pudding. Popular segments highlight Allen’s ideas for creating a stylish table setting, or “tablescape,” by using elements from the garden and his road-trips to various destinations across the U.S., including suburban Chicago, Monticello (Thomas Jefferson’s home in Virginia) and the Arkansas Delta.
