This week on The Local Show, Nick Haines gets an inside look at the innovative Woodneath Branch of the Mid-Continent Public Library which will have some new surprises in store for library patrons when it opens this summer. Superintendent Dr. Jim Hinson has made headlines recently with some new policies and programs in the Independence School District. Nick Haines sits down with him to discuss some of these new approaches to running a school district. We return to the Blue Valley School District’s CAPS program to take a closer look at the entrepreneurial skills that students are learning in addition to first hand experience in a variety of fields. And we take a look back at some scenes from last year’s City in Motion event A Modern Night At The Folly as they prepare for the 10th anniversary event to be held at The Folly Theater on Saturday, February 9.
