Rachel’s Favorite Food for Living

"Irish cooking queen" Rachel Allen returns to Kansas City Public Television.
New season begins Friday, May 13, 2011 at 11:30am, KCPT2

“Irish cooking queen” Rachel Allen returns to public television to deliver more easy-to-make recipes and helpful tips for the time-strapped home cook. In RACHEL’S FAVORITE FOOD FOR LIVING, the chef, lifestyle TV host, cookbook author and mother of three concentrates on the kinds of food whose smells and tastes evoke special memories. She draws inspiration for her dishes from some of life’s happiest moments: falling in love over a romantic meal, making bread with our grandmother, enjoying Sunday dinners with our families or gathering with girlfriends to discuss the finer points of chocolate. As with her first public television series, Rachel’s Favorite Food at Home, some of Rachel’s recipes feature her take on international delicacies like Aztec soup, squid salad and mussels, Greek almond crescents and more.
