Arthur’s Perfect Christmas
Arthur’s Perfect Christmas special opens with scenes of citizens of Elwood City busy preparing for Christmas, while Pachelbel’s Canyon is played in the background on piano. Arthur then sings the first of many of the special’s musical numbers, “Perfect Christmas,” in which he lays out his list of the things he wants in the upcoming Christmas:

  • A large amount of snow
  • An amazing dinner, turkey and the whole works
  • A spectacular Christmas tree- most importantly without tinsel

Everyone will love the presents he gets for them.

However, things don’t always work out quite as we always want them to. Meanwhile, as the special progresses, a number of other story lines are revealed, perhaps so many that the show’s younger target audience might find it difficult to follow: D.W. wants a new toy, “Tina the Talking Tammy,” for Christmas and Jane Read is unable to find it at stores anywhere.

HOWL at the Moon and Celebrate Science City’s Newest Addition

Science City is celebrating their brand new Nature Center with a special HOWL'o'ween party on Saturday, October 27th.

Calling all critters, creepy crawlies and things that go bump in the night! Science City is celebrating their brand new Nature Center with a special HOWL’o'ween party on Saturday, October 27th! Come dressed as your favorite animal, see spooky science demos, make a Wild Kratts nature journal and see KCPT’s P.T. the owl! The fun starts at 4:30pm.

Tickets can be purchased through Union Station’s website or by calling 816-460-2000.

Non-members – $7

Howl'o'ween Party Saturday, October 27, 4:30-8:30pm Celebrate the Opening of the New Nature Center in Science City Costume Contest - Be there early! Prize given to winner at 5:30pm. A very big, slobbery thank you to everyone who came to see Martha, Clifford the Big Red Dog and Ruff Ruffman at KCPT’s Bark in the Park.

In celebration of The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About Christmas special, come meet The Cat, make holiday crafts and explore the science of winter weather on December 1, 2012 at Union Station!

Here we go, go, go, go on a winter adventure! Join KCPT at Union Station on December 1, 2012 for a splendiferous day with Cat in the Hat!

In celebration of The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About Christmas special, come meet The Cat, make holiday crafts and explore the science of winter weather.

The fun begins with a pancake breakfast at 8:30am. Tickets for the breakfast are available on Union Station’s website.

Day Out with Cat in the Hat!
