It may be the angle of the sun, the puddles from yesterday’s rain or the familiarity of routine. No matter what it is; the day’s first hours have always been a great subject for photography. Sid the Science Kid estimates that hundreds of scientists came to see him at Kansas City’s Union Station on December 3, 2011. Families compared and contrasted appetites over a pancake breakfast, made hypotheses about the wait to get a picture with Sid and used their Official Scientist Journals to investigate Union Station’s Science City. Joshua Fish, freshman from the South Harrison High School in Bethany, MO was the winner in the Electric League/KCPT Shocking Truth Storyboard contest. Joshua’s spot gave great tips on how to be safe around electricity. His spot will be broadcast on KCPT beginning in January. Joshua also received an iPad as the grand prize.
