“Prisoner of Her Past” tells the haunting story of a secret childhood trauma resurfacing, sixty years later, to unravel the life of Holocaust survivor Sonia Reich. Her son Howard Reich, the jazz critic for the Chicago Tribune, wrote and produced the film about his journey to uncover why his mother believes the world is conspiring to kill her.
The film is the first to illuminate a little known illness, late-onset Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and its devastating effect on victims and their families.
Howard Reich will be joining us for the film and a community discussion about trauma and late-onset PTSD.
Event is FREE, but RSVP is required. Reserve your seat here now.
Please note: The program and film starts at 11am, so please plan to arrive at least a few minutes early.
