Echoes and Reflections is a teacher training program focused on Holocaust Education. Instructors from the Anti-Defamation League and the Midwest Center for Holocaust Education conducted the workshop, which was designed to equip teachers with the tools they need to help today’s students study the Holocaust as a significant event in human history. As a special addition, Holocaust survivor Sonia Warshawski, along with her daughter Regina Kort, shared her fascinating story of survival. The workshop is part of KCPT’s ongoing commitment to helping teachers. Attendee Ami Garrison, Librarian, said “I can’t stop thinking about it, and now I have a wonderful resource to share with my fellow teachers. I feel so grateful and lucky to have gotten to attend.” The combined experience and resources of the Anti-Defamation League, USC Shoah Foundation, and Yad Vashem, along with the Midwest Center for Holocaust Education made this an exceptional opportunity for area educators.
