Welcome to the Martha Speaks Reading Buddies Program! This program was developed to accompany the Martha Speaks television series, the cross-age reading program is an innovative way for kindergarten and upper-level elementary students to increase their vocabulary, develop their self-esteem and social skills, and enhance their love of books and reading.

KCPT offers four free early childhood workshops each year in October, January, March and May. The Family Conservancy provide trainers and each teacher receives 2 hours of credit. This service is provided by the generous funding from the Sprint Foundation and the Francis Foundation. We hope you will continue to check back for the 2014 – 2015 topics.
