Townsend Communications in Kansas City, MO along with KCPT, Kansas City Public Television, are collaborating on a new series called performARTS. Underwritten by Richard J. Stern Foundation for the Arts, Bank of America, Commerce Bank and Michael Fields, the series will be part of the next six issues of KC Studio and will include installments about some of Kansas City’s best artistic organizations.

The six performARTS featured arts organizations were selected out of hundreds of arts organizations across this metropolitan community. Along with the printed story in KC Studio, KCPT will also produce a piece on the selected groups airing multiple times in the next twelve months on The Local Show. The nonprofit, community-owned television station serving the greater Kansas City area provides programming and services that entertain, educate and enrich the community.

Coterie Theatre – November/December issue, KCPT broadcast Nov 10 at 7:30pm
The Kansas City Chorale – January/February issue, KCPT broadcast TBA
Charlotte Street Foundation – March/April issue, KCPT broadcast TBA
Quality Hill Playhouse – May/June issue, KCPT broadcast TBA
Kansas City Actor’s Theatre – July/August issue, KCPT broadcast TBA
Paul Mesner Puppets – September/October issue, KCPT broadcast TBA
